Dr. Ronni Brown discusses specific strategies to recognize the physical, behavioral and oral clues of meth use, communicate concerns and suspicions with patient and how to treat meth users safely and effectively. 

Dr. Ronni Brown earned her dental and master’s degree in public health from the University of California, Los Angeles and received specialty training in dental public health from the University of California, San Francisco. Her research on the effects of drug-use patterns on the severity of “meth mouth” has garnered national interest and has positioned her as a leading national expert on “meth mouth”.  With more than 20 years treating patients with “meth mouth”, Dr. Brown understands the behavioral and clinical challenges that the dental team faces when treating the addicted patient. She is the author of the just released book “A State of Decay”: Your Dental Guide to Understanding and Treating Meth Mouth. 

She is an active member of the American Dental Association California Dental Association, and American Association of Public Health Dentistry Dr. Brown works at the Sonoma County Jail in Santa Rosa, California. When not treating, speaking, or writing, Ronni can be found hiking, baking or visiting zoos across the world.
